Welcome to Timeless Yukiguni

Updated: Dec 11, 2020

Yukiguni is a region of Japan made up of several neighbouring areas united by the heavy snows they receive each winter. It is known that these snows have been falling since humans first started settling here thousands of years ago so have always been a feature of life here.

The snows are bought by a unique weather pattern that sees cold winds coming across from Siberia and picking up moisture as the blow across the Sea of Japan. As soon as they encounter the mountains on reaching Japan that moisture falls as snow. These snows have played a large part in shaping the culture, food and life of the region.

Visitors to Yukiguni are spoilt for choice when it comes to places to stay as there is a huge range covering many styles and budgets. Timeless Yukiguni has scoured the region for some of the very best places to stay. Japan has a long history of great hospitality and there are many great accommodations.
